Dimitris is Technical Director of the Group with responsibility for the technical operations and the development of the technical competencies and training. Also responsible for the Greek and Cypriot operations and the out of base casualty and H&M cases in the regions where we do not retain own offices.

Dimitris joined the company in 1999 and assumed the role of Technical Director in 2005. He has extensive experience with casualty work and with large repair tendering projects. He was involved in the company’s early development into P&I and pioneered the dual technical consultancy and claims handling role. Before joining Kalimbassieris he worked as deputy director for a Classification Society and served as a member of the Greek delegation to the IMO for 10 years.

Dimitris is a naval architect and marine engineer, with a degree from the National Technical University of Athens.
