Kalimbassieris Maritime seeks to employ an Accountant for its Constantza office.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for all daily accounting activities (recording of supplier expenses, travel expenses, issuing invoices, processing payments, reconciling banks, suppliers and clients) and month/year-end closing activities, in compliance with Romanian Accounting Standards
- Submitting official declarations (VAT, CIT, VIES, withholding taxes forms, social security), filing tax returns and communicating with the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), also via the Virtual Private Space (SPV) platform
- Preparing annual and interim statutory financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss accounts)
- Actively participate in the annual budget planning process along with the Finance and Operations Director
- Handling communication with external parties (suppliers/banks/tax authorities) and with internal departments as well
- Maintaining the fixed assets register, including tracking additions, transfers and calculating depreciation
- Managing the employment process as well as the payroll services (employee records and salary calculations)
- Collaborating with auditors during financial audits
- Analyzing existing workflows and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and reduce processing time
Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- University degree in Accounting/Finance
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting legislation
- Experience in a Maritime company is considered an asset
- Advanced knowledge of accounting ERP as a key user
- Experienced user of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Professional qualification CECCAR (completed or in progress)
