As a Senior Surveyor for Kalimbassieris Piraeus since 2019, Nikos has considerable field experience having undertaken various major projects in Greece and worldwide, including emergency response, casualty investigation, salvage, refloating operations, as well as H&M damage and repair work.

With his naval architecture and marine engineering background, coupled with a strong claims thinking developed through the years, Nikos has a deep understanding of the dynamics of our industry and is dedicated to providing an all rounded service to our clients.

As of 2024, Nikos has extended his involvement as technical supervisor in the Group’s Foreign Offices. His current role includes work with technical surveyors amongst the Group on complex matters, quality control and on the job training and development.

Nikos is a holder of MEng from University of Strathclyde, Glascow, and his previous roles included positions in an IACS Classification Society, Flags and technical consultancy.
